Decorating with plants can be one of the easiest and most affordable way to decorate your space.
It will bring a great range of colors, textures, and shapes to your room.  It’s a great way to accessorize your room because plants come in different sizes. Plants will make your room feel fresh, modern and alive.

Floor plants

Floor plants are a good decorating piece to balance the room and create symmetry when you can’t do it with furniture. For example, say you have a cabinet on one side of the room, you can easily add a floor plant on the other side to create balance and symmetry.

Small plants

Small plants are a very good option to pair with a book and a candle on your coffee table or kitchen countertop. You can also use plants in your entrance on your console table, or on your bedroom side table.
Make sure to pay attention to how much light each plant needs when placing them around your house.

Air plants

Air plants are very easy to decorate with, low maintenance and they don’t take up a lot of space. You can hang them on the wall or place them on side table.

Faux plants

If you don’t have a green thumb or you always struggle with keeping your plants alive, faux plants are a good option. It’s maintenance free and will give you the same effect as real plants, just make sure to invest in good quality faux greenery.
Faux plants are perfect in any space that does not have natural light, such as your bathroom and dressing room.
Add a small vase with flowers or greenery on your sink countertop and your bathroom will look better instantly.

Outdoor plants

Decorate your front door with a nice planter and a wreath. Add some outdoor furniture and plants to your porch and balcony.

Plant artwork

Decorating with a simple picture of a leaf or flower is another great way to decorate with plants and bring nature inside.  You can easily create a DIY piece of artwork by using a blank canvas, spray paint and some leaves as a stencil.  Pick different shapes and sizes of leaves and use them as a stencil.  Place a leaf on each canvas and spray paint the whole canvas including the leaf, remove the leaf and you will be left with a very nice piece of artwork. You can create a set of three, four or six depending on the size of your wall, canvases and the look you’re trying to achieve.
